Teak is Playavole’s choice wood to withstand the sun, salt, wet and dry conditions. Each Playavole racquet starts with a block of teak wood which is CNC cut and finished by hand. From the head to the handle the racquet shape expands at the base of the handle to create a balanced rally instrument. The handle is shaped and sanded for a comfortably secure grip in wet or dry conditions. The whole purpose of designing and building our racquets without glue or strips of wood is to ensure these rally instruments are generational.
